Antonio Ciacca Quintet New York, New York

Ciacca was born in Germany, brought up in Italy and began playing piano at age seven. He has toured Europe with the Larry Smith Quartet, Joe Henderson and Steve Lacy.
He studied with Jaki Byard and dedicated the album Hollis Avenue to him. He has a masters degree in Afro-American musicology from the University of Bologna and became the Director of Programming at Jazz at Lincoln Center in 2007
